Lets face it Teens are unique. You are full of potential and ready to be challenged. Our Teen Camp offers just the right mix of wholesome fun, hard work and memorable adventure. Our goal is for the youth to garner meaningful connections to the farm and build lasting friendships.
Teen Camp is a creative week with time spent developing practical farm skills, leadership potential, exploring creative arts, accomplishing service projects, and enjoying the wide open fields of summer. Teen camp is unique as the youth will work on a service project on the farm that will build leadership skills and leave its mark on Everdale.
We are proud and excited to offer a camp that delivers the perfect mix of summer and the best of what the farm has to offer. Teen Leadership Camp will be composed of a dynamic group of young folks who are ready to have an exciting and memorable week on the farm. There are so many things to do and get involved with on the farm! What happens this week will be chosen by YOU (the teens who attend camp).
During our Teen Camper Meeting on the first day, we as a group will decide what we want the week to look like! The following are some of the activities at Teen Leadership Camp that we could add to our week:
- Livestock workshops (with the hens, horses, sheep, etc! )
- Overnight camp out, cookout, campfire
- Bread baking in the outdoor wood-fired oven
- Building and designing a vegetable garden
- Fieldwork with Everdale’s Farmers and Interns
- Collecting eggs from the laying flock
- Tree & Plant interpretation
- Livestock Care (Feeding Animals, Moving Pasture)
- Creative Art installations on the Farm
- Hiking
- Visit to Neighbouring Farm
