Q? What are the ages of the farm campers?
A: Farm camp is for ages 4-16.
Q? What time is does Farm Camp begin and end?
A: Farm Camp begins 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Everdale Farm Camp offers early/after care to meet the needs of busy families. Please indicate on your registration form if this is a program you’d like to take advantage of. Please try to be punctual at both ends, as we have a lot planned every day and we don’t want any campers missing out!
Q? What should a camper bring to Farm Camp?
A: Each day a camper should pack: Lunch, two snacks, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a hat, a refillable water-bottle, a rain jacket and a bathing suit. Please remember to label all your camper’s belongings with their name.
Q? Will campers participate in activities with other campers their own age?
A: Yes, Farm Camp program is designed to meet the needs of each specific age group. Farm Camp staff are trained and prepared to lead activities according to the interests of each small group they are leading.
Q? Can I request for my child to be in a group with his/her friend?
A: Absolutely! Please indicate this on you registration as soon as possible. Also, please keep in mind that campers are divided by age group,
Q? Are there animals on the Farm?
A: Yes, there are many types of animals including; a flock of laying hens, sheep, donkeys, draft horses, a peacock and a few turkeys.
Q? How will I know if my registration form has been accepted?
A: Once we receive and process your registration we will reply with a confirmation email.
Q? My child has a nut allergy. Is Everdale a nut-free facility?
A: We do not use nuts in any of our snacks/meals for Farm Camp and we ask other farm campers to bring a nut free lunch. Additionally, all campers wash hands on a regular basis. Please indicate your camper’s allergy on your registration form and one of our Camp Directors will be in contact for further clarification and discussion.
Q? Can I authorize someone else to pick up my child?
A: If you would like to authorize another guardian to drop-off or pick-up your child, please indicate this on the first day of camp.
Q? How old is the camp staff?
A: Our Farm camp staff is dedicated, caring and experienced. The members of our Farm Camp team have been carefully selected for their specific qualities and experience in working with children and youth. We have a farm camp team that consists of leadership from experienced educator’s with 5-25 years experience.
Q? Where do I go when I get to the farm? Where do I park?
A: Upon arrival, follow the arrow signs down to our parking lot in the lower field, below the round room (community centre). Look for an arbour, which is the entance to our welcome garden and courtyard. We will be waiting in the courtyard for you!
Q? What happens when it rains?
A: The farm is exciting in all weather! You can expect that your child will be outside in all weather, except thunder and lightning. The Farm camp runs rain or shine.
